Finally found the time to watch Mob Psycho 100. Mob is that breh but Reigen is probably the true MVP, the way he keeps bullshytting his way to victory (except for that time he went on TV) is truly something.

Well weve now seen the genre advance beyond what yuyu is. The fights arent as interesting and clever as they used to be, yusuke himself doesnt shine as a protagonist until the very end, and the concept has been emulated and has been done better over time IMO.

YuYu is a case to me of an originator that has been surpassed over time. I have to remind myself that its one of the OGs constantly, it used to be unique but now it isnt anymore. I expect people to disagree but thats just my thoughts on it.

Yea agree to disagree on the feeling that yu yu specifically Yusuke not being unique. Like previously mentioned you’d be hard pressed to find a protagonist alike him with that type of development. His demeanor, boastfulness & simply having different clothing are such simple elements yet separate him from so many other protagonist even today. The only criticism I have of the show obv outside the rushed final arc is I felt the Dark Tourney dragged a couple rounds, but the payoff made it all worth it.

The camaraderie of the Body Improvement Club though brehs be genuine like no one else, accepted Mob because he wanted to improve and always want him to reach his goals so they'll help him out no matter what

Im looking at the boss fight and they are using jazz music and it just doesnt work. It works with cowboy beebop but not this.

Its a isekai with a revenge motive and they are making it pg13. If you look the fight in the manga and compare it to the anime its just

If u read the light novels u would understand why it's a big uproar cuz it's a good as story and they butchered it beyond belief on the 1st episode

They left out way too much stuff let alone they mislead the story in a way

Im only on chapter 7, it's reminding me of this other manga where this chick reincarnates as a spider monster in a dungeon. Crawling around eating shyt and powering up.

I started reading the manga after watching 2 episodes of the anime. I told myself I would read until where the anime left off but then I just kept going. Still waiting for him to stunt on his classmates lol. Manga is definitely better, I guess they could always do a flashback to show what they missed in the beginning. Still not touching the light novel though
