Maybe an even better Kaiser at that. wouldn’t have allowed Oberstein to run unchecked for 100 episodes which would’ve prevented a lot of casualties (the civil war, various riots, bombing an entire planet) and led to Rubinsky/Terriasts/Truniht/Lang being snuffed much earlier. Reinhard’s flaws of youth/inexperience and having to rely on others to make decisions for him which opens him up to manipulation don’t apply to Reunthal

Reinhard deserves credit for being an inspirational figure for those under him and for his compassion towards the public, but he doesn’t get anywhere without his massive fleet advantage and stacked roster. Crazy how Yang managed to drive them to a stalemate

I think its fate that Reinhard was chosen as this series' protagonist. Because when you take a closer look at it, Reuenthal is a true protagonist of logh. both characters are a great tactician, stubborn, have too much pride and are gunning to take down the goldenbaum Dynasty. I say that Reuenthal is a true protagonist because Reinhard gets easily manipulated and ends up being vulenrable. only one person had to be the protagnist, and the author chose reinhard with his feeble ass

I think in a long running narrative like this it’s more entertaining to follow a flawed protagonist who has to improve their vulnerabilities along the way rather than one who has all the answers. That’s probably why Reinhard was chosen to be the focus of the empire over Reuenthal who has less room to grow. Plus he’s the perfect foil for Yang

One is ambition personified, inspirational public figure and political influencer. An average strategist relative to his stacked roster if we’re being honest. Not much better than Bittenfeld.

The other is the best strategist in the universe. Nobody does more with less than he. But is lazy as hell, wants nothing to do with governing a body of people or being a public figure. Man is asked to lead a speech in El Facil, says two words and sits back down

Having these two polar opposites be the head of rival nations is a fun dynamic that you wouldn’t get as much if Reuenthal were the leader. Because if he were then the war would’ve probably ended mid series

It's the small moments like these in this part that makes it amazing.

I rewatched that scene like a thousand times.

Like these guys are the good guys in the story but it doesn't mean they are 100 percent good. Like they are in a mob for Christ sake so they have to be somewhat chaotic. That's what I like about these characters in part 5.

It's somewhat realistic.

Like these guys are the good guys in the story but it doesn't mean they are 100 percent good. Like they are in a mob for Christ sake so they have to be somewhat chaotic. That's what I like about these characters in part 5.

It's somewhat realistic.

Right? Bucciarati gave him a new meaning of life and invested in him and his no good stand...the very least he could do is ride for him. How is a newbie like girono more loyal?
