Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

It was the best show of its season. A lot of people ending up checking it at first for the quality and animation. Its not full of fights or anything - not that kind of show. shyt hits you in the chest though

I went back to Violet Evergarden after putting it on hold for a month or so....immediately got hit with the episode about the young soldier going to war leaving behind his girl and family. That anime is relentless

Also if anyone’s seen Gintama, please is it worth watching? I dropped my Crunchyroll sub for Funimation today and I came across Gintama with dub on there.

Yeah. Gintama works both as a gag comedy that never loses its consistency in 300+ episodes and as a slice of life drama about various hardships in life.

Idk how the dub is though. They’d still need to provide subtitles to explain all the parodies

That was the only episode it had me

The rest was too forced imo, but that mother/daughter episode was something else. Made the Nina getting turned into a chimera episode from FMA look tame in comparison

Why is MHA giving us fukking filler episodes??? this is bullshyt at this rate the yakuza arc will be season 4...

I don't think the Yakuza arc had any chance of being in season 3. They probably had to stretch the end of the All for One vs All Might aftermath so the ending of the season could match the results/ending of the provisional license exams. If not, they would've ended up with like 3 episodes of the start of the yakuza arc with no real cliffhanger and then make everyone wait for the real shyt to happen in season 4

and i might give ergo proxy another run one of these days. when i saw it for the first time, it seemed like the first 3 eps and the finale were the only ones that mattered

When Gintama gets into its action or comedy bag, it's all 10s and Green Lights Platinum-style. The series is definitely worth watching. Even the manga is official.

Nah didn't have high hopes cause I heard bad things. I actually like Kira in Destiny. He basically calls out everyones bullshyt. Shinn tho
