Wow it's been 17 year's since Kaneto Shiozawa passed away on May 10th of 2000.

He was great voice actor. Kaneto was at his best when voiced Bishonen anti-heroes or villains. Some of you that grew up in the 90's and early 2000's may be familiar with his voice acting. The most notable voice acting that I heard him do for video games was when he voiced Hyo(Rival Schools), Duke(Battle Arena Toshinden), Kairi and Vega(Street Fighter Ex Series), and Zato-1(Guilty Gear 1 and Guilty Gear X)

What impresses me most about Lain is that it predicts the technology obsessed society we live in today. It was made twenty years ago and is still as relevant as ever.

Would recommend if interested in avant garde works that rely on symbolism and abstract imagery to tell a dense narrative that slowly unpacks itself over time. Has very high rewatch value and rewards the viewer with an analytical mind. Compares well to Texhnolyze and Revolutionary Girl Utena in that sense.

It also has the best opening theme in anime

15 years ago I used to call folks hooked to the internet and tech "Lain's Children".

We're all Lain's Children at this point.

Just plowed through the first six episodes of Ginga Eiyuu and I am having a lot of fun. That opening is Yang Wen-Li is an interesting MC that reminds me somewhat of Kuroko. The only type of anime I'm lacking is political thrillers, no Gundam doesn't count. I might even watch that old anime if the rest of this series holds up.

Na breh it wasnt near as funny yamada was and mc was bout that life this one he acted more so soft than other guy in yamada

But oh girl was more down for her guy in my first girlfriend is a gal

It was a good show just dont think on same level for me imo
