it's Hajime no Ippo. Despite it taking stylistic liberties, it really is primarily about no frills boxing. No superpowers or third arms or teleporting or anything like that. they just make it look INCREDIBLY interesting.

So I just finished watching all 74 episodes of monster. It was very good and some really gripping storylines throughout but the ending was a bit disappointing. Still hugely enjoyable and worth it.

FMA is one of the GOATs. It's one of those anime you can either-

wait. You watching FMA or FMA: Brotherhood?

Either way, it's still greatness.

Its one of those anime you can watch for the sheer action/storytelling/pacing/animation/etc...

or you can peel back the layers of subtle shyt that no one talks about.

For instance.... Ed's alchemy symbol is pretty close to the original sign of The Cross/Christianity that Constantine followed. He wears it on his back for the whole series.
