i was 25. just do what you gotta do and you'll get there. stay at it and don't worry about your age. theres people out there 50 years old that just graduated college and gettin their shyt right, you ahead of the game man. I'd say around 30 is when most men get their shyt together.
I'm 22 and I feel like I'm rushing myself to make it. :snoop: I just don't want to be broke. Working a couple jobs trying to pull myself up:shaq2:

I feel you. I was workin 2 jobs before as well. 7:00-3:30 then 6-12 (warehouse shyt) was for the birds but I needed money. I kept my eye on my goal; only had to do that for 2 years. But I still have side jobs I like to do even though I have a career now.

I been trying to build up to move out for the past couple years. I'm hoping to be out after college. I'm working as many double shifts as I can during the summer. Its better than sitting at home playing Xbox all day

23, start working as an Engineer for a telecommunications company. Now at 27, I am focusing on getting a combination of cissp and aws certification. I am hoping to at least make 120K by 30. That's the goal. A friend of mine is giving me the blue print. He is making close to 200K plus working in the tech field. I told him flat out, give me the blue print and I will learn it.
What's the blueprint?

I played it safe and spent a total of 8 years in school for a stable, good-paying career at 26. Only negative is there isn't much room for growth between now and 10-15 years later. RN I'm focused on paying off student loans, investing, and enjoying life.

I don't know if my career took off, but like a lot of folks in here I have a degree in MIS, and I was working in IT. Always thought that's what I'd want to do until I took classes on crystal reports 5-6 years ago and since I worked in health care already, I was able to use that skill to pull data from their various systems and produce meaningful reports from the data they already had.

From that moment forward, I never wanted to work IT again and worked in healthcare informatics ever since. From that job, I got a job for a large hospital system that taught me a shytload in that area. Then I went to work for that healthcare software vendor. Each job change increased my pay 10k or more. Then that last job let me go in April. And in late may, I was offered another informatics job for a hospital system in Dallas. I'm changing locations, but the job is exactly what I want to do.

I don't have certs nor do I have student loan debt. But I do have lots of healthcare experience and hospitals love hiring analyst that have been in there industry.

Same here man, 24. Unemployed UNI graduate, it's tough sometimes but I think it's more important to know what field you want to get into. No age is too late if you're doing what you love to do and you'll have a sense of direction. I don't think 24 is too late at all. Do you have kids ? If you don't have kids or debt from college or uni it's just a matter of finding your passion
It is all about who u know. I have gotten more jobs from networking that just applying cold.

My wife was in education all her career and has a master's and almost done with PhD. She now does HR for a home health care company. She said there's plenty of underqualified :bryan: making six figures at her office simply cuz they know the executives. Like secretaries and shyt.
