Yes, but a whole lot of Arabs and Jews (even Sephardic) are light skinned whites. They are not Europeans. If we're going by that, then there are a lot of Greek and Italian people, along with those in the Balkans, who aren't white.

I am asking why should it be? Either way is correct. There are plenty of ancient and old maps that show the North pole as the "top" as well. There are also maps where what we now know as "East" "West" were the "top".
