Me being terrible at math discouraged me forever. Tried to find a major when I was young that had the lowest amount of math courses because I know that's the only subject holding me back. This Sophia and Study stuff did wonders for me. For Study if you get the best score possible on the quizzes through out the course then proctored exam doesn't count for much at the end because you accumulated enough points to bomb on the final and still pass. I did a couple of math courses on that not to bad. Sophia is cool because I just used a math apps to solve all my questions :pachaha: . Download Mathway app and Photomath app and it takes care of probably 80%. Photomath is dope because you just have to take a pix of the equation and it will solve it for you :umad:. I have an Android but I'm sure Apple has alternatives.

Dropping more gems so ask away folks.
Thanks for the info. I have some siblings without degrees and the more I learn, the more possible it is to put them on so they can get one in much shorter time than I am. All the knowledge we can get is appreciated. Cant wait to get this goddamn degree and be out, but I chose a cert-heavy program and am at the position where I cant breeze through anymore at the same rate.

Let's build on this and share the knowledge. Some folks I tried to put on in my circle but they don't give a fukk. Some are listening and doing well.

I'm still trying to see how I can get a doctorate some how some way as cheaply as possible. Right now I found a couple online universities under $400 a credit. Trying to get down further or maybe find a grant. Idk I'll keep this thread posted if I found a way and share the knowledge.

Their Comp Sci program was recently ABET-accredited and that means the world recognizes WGU as a legit Comp Sci degree as it meets the standard.

I keep mentioning education, especially for the tech folks here. This is an enormous opportunity.

I'm starting to think WGU => Georgia Tech OMSCS may be one of the very best vectors someone can take in tech.

That's less than $10k and 3 years for a Master's Degree from a top 10 CS school and at worst it's an ABET approved Bachelor's a fraction of what someone else will pay for the same accreditation. Get that degree and never worry about that question again.

Anybody tried snhu

Is their anything else that one should know about to speed run a degree

Wgu exams are proctored and you can’t transfer credits in after starting there

Snhu exams aren’t proctored and you can transfer credits after/during enrollment

Just popping back in to say yo, if you need to go to college and you are already in your career, WGU is it. I finished a class yesterday (Intro to Scripting and Programming) and am about to knock out a cloud class for the cert. We all gonna make it, folks!

Couldn't agree more. Gettin' a bacherlor's from dem done set a nicca on a nice path, no 🧢. Started out on more of sum clinical/front desk type ish andway past that now.

Never thought I'd see my school on here lol. Didn't quite do straight tech but got my Health Information Management degree a couple years ago at WGU. Planned on doing a speed run but ended up taking two years cuz I had way too much on my plate.

Leveraged it to get a Masters in Analytics form a local school too but even before that, I was good on job offers. I'm almost 6 figs, 2 certs out this bytch low-key :ehh:

Made my way into the healthcare tech side of things after all this and was able to get Epic certified in 4 diff modules...If you ever worked in healthcare of any kind in modern day, you may know what that it is. Satya & dem up at Microsoft got shyt in the works wit em but they been building damn near a monopoly in the healthcare world for a long time. They damn near the gatekeepers when it come to IT/Analytics in the health world. And Im seeing mfs wit the certs I just was able to get in Epic Consultant circles commanding $80-$100 per hr for jobs & shyt.

Lil Udacity SQL cert I picked up on the side helped a lot too

We have some turnover so I went to bat for someone to take their position and was told straight up to "make a case" for my own position. I'm making good money but have been doing the same thing for years now, so I have a website (hosted in AWS) with a full resume and some other things to show so I can get on the Desktop Engineering side. So far everything is gravy and I might have created a lane for myself with my institution simply by speaking up.
