“It’s kind of a waiting game at this point,” McCaw’s father, Jeff, told The Chronicle recently. “I know Pat would like to stick with the Warriors, but there are other factors in play. I told him that, regardless of what happens, he needs to be prepared and ready.”

eh, he should fight for every dollar if that's what he wants to do. It may be a bad decision, but you can't fault a guy for wanting that. If he regressed that bad, why would we even want him on the team?

Because we need a cheap backup wing and he's cheaper than Jamal Crawford and knows the system. If he had any value around the league he would've gotten another offer from another team that knew we wouldn't match.

I know he's not likely to get an offer, but i can't hate on the guy for trying to get more. It would make more sense for him to play well this year and show some potential to earn that money. Maybe that injury has him thinking that he needs to get all he can before he breaks down.
