what would take west to that next level

stop choosing so many of these beat butcha daringer beats. they sound so similar. it’s time to expand

be a little more selective in a project. I appreciate the volume and full body of work this year. between pray for Paris, FGIAAG2 and WMTSS there’s like 10-12 really really really strong tracks. if he can tap in to those and figure out what made those stand out, he can harness it

keep bringing in these incredible artists to work with. slick Rick and busta on a track? roc Marci and Gibbs? Benny and Boldy? craziness. legendary stuff. having artists of this quality around raises everyone’s game up.

keep pushing stove god. that dude is the truth. charismatic as hell. sign him, he fits perfectly.

what a year though. probably my favorite hip hop artist right now. I say these things not to be a hater but because I see potential for more
Stove god is actually Marcis artist

Sound sound sound
Frank Murphy shows that not just anybody can rap over those drumless beats and sound good

sonically the music backdrop or whatever sounds good...but most them nikkas ain’t got no sense of how to flow smoothly over that shyt

I'm fukking with this shyt, only shyt I wasnt feeling was the Liz track and the hook on All Praises, but the project was cool to me, better than Awesome God 2. But Gunn really shines on samples tbh, Pray for Paris, Hitler 7, Awesome God 1, Blientele, FlyGod shows how good his ear is. IMO they need to push their side projects harder than these Shady releases but going off Conway's energy, I dont think there gonna be there still come next year. This is probably the reason he changed his mind in making a FlyGod 2 cause he knew the sample restrictions wouldn't make it live up to the first one.

can we all agree that Stove Cooks is the rookie of the year :wow:

"My young boy got the pole, his stock went up though (Ha)
He said now he want twenty thousand to get him gone (Hahaha)
I said, "Last week, you shot a nikka over an emoji" (He did)
Followed him home and ran him up the steps like Stallone"

:pachaha:
he's entertaining in small doses for me

I can't say I enjoyed a whole album of that. his style is very theatrical and as much as his music is creative and funny I don't ever get the idea that I know who he is as a person or his actual story. when I listen to him it's like hearing a very creative take on coke rap from a brilliant student of it.
