This what I don't understand
On the independent releases you’d have to sue, and then far more importantly, collect, from Griselda.
On the Shady release, you can sue and Shady would be the ones paying.
How they be using samples on independent releases?

They simply don’t bother clearing the samples. They don’t think it’s enough of a risk to take the time to clear them.
Edit @JKO123 anyone can basically put stuff up on steaming. If it’s indie you can sue but there’s less money to collect, and likely not worth the lawyer fees you’d have to pay for to get attorneys, etc.
