Benny been my favorite rapper for going on 3 years.

IMO one of the bigger disappointments of the year for me. Everything was aligned for this to be one of the notable drops this year but it seems the labeled and the A&R of this album failed and dropped the ball.

My main gripe is outside of the singles and a few album cuts nothing really sticks out and the best material was left on HWM7 and TPIM. Even a track like Eastern Conference All Stars outshine anything on here. No standout guest spots, no classic posse track, it’s like Shady didn’t want to spend any money on this.

Regarding the bolded...they didn’t. They wouldn’t pay to clear samples so there aren’t samples on it. I think that’s my main gripe with the project. There’s only so many ways to recreate a sampled sound without actually doing it.

I still really dig the album, and appreciate how they got around the sample clearance issue. But there’s a monotonous sound after a while when you can’t throw in real vocal samples, or a soul loop, etc. And only one was providing the soundscape for Daringer ti make beats with.

So to me it’s got a PRhyme vibe where every joint has a very similar sound because it’s coming from the same source material.

Again, I’m a big Griselda fan. I love they did this album their way, but I can understand your perspective.
