you play that shyt via car play on a 8 inch screen come back to me .... I need some alt cover art

I had it on my phone on the bus - and thought it freaked ppl out lol

It is what it is. They chose it.

Personally I have created alternative art to other albums to get the vibe better - so I do see what you're saying.

if hwh 7 is a 10 this is a 3.

the production just doesn't compare. this album is one dimensional. HWH 7 had layers. it had SONGS.

its about making songs. no one wants to listen to 10 tracks of freestyles.
The production doesn’t compare but it can’t. For various reasons. Namely that Shady never would’ve released it if they did anything different than this.

I do wish this album had a few joints with actual song structures and not just a verse from each of the 3. I like Chef Dreds, Scotties, and City on the Map because they switch up the formula of having all 3 on each song.

I like for example how old LOX albums usually had a solo joint from each member. And they missed and opportunity to have Conway and Benny trade bars like they recently did on Tito’s Back.

Hitler Wears Hermes 7 was better than this.

Not a single song on WWCD comes close to this.

Griselda has a lot of potential if they tap into new sounds like they did on Hitler 7.

I wouldn’t worry. They only did this because they were restricted on samples. Don’t expect another Shady release for a long time. They’ll go right back to making indie projects and go back to the sounds they were doing.

The production:noah:
Benny had me rewinding shyt:damn:
Conway did his thang:whew:
This nikka WSG just had me dyin w/ the adlibs.:heh:
“Do! do! Do! Do! Do! Do! Do!...boom boom boom BOOM!”
Yeah I’m with you but if I had any criticism I think West went a little overboard on the adlibs. On some joints I had a hard time even understanding some parts because the adlibs were so loud. I think he put them louder in the mix than usual on this one.

@Piff Perkins You sounding real A&R’ish right now with that bullshyt you saying. Stop trying to change what these dudes are about and either enjoy their movement or get the fukk out of the way. Talking about some fukkin Roc Marci :mjlol:
Dawg he sounds like a immitation music critic. And cats are dapping him up as if he makes sense. Hillarious.

Conway is better than Benny bro. Like strictly based on skillset Benny is his little mans.
I don't mind this opinion even though I disagree. But it trips me out that some people state it so matter of fact as if there's no debate. I'd say more people would look at this the opposite way. So it's odd to me when people imply that Conway is easily better than Benny. Conway had him in the flow department easily but even that may not be the case anymore. Benny is catching up there. In terms of body of work too I think Benny's released maybe 1/4th of the material as Conway (or less) and Tana Talk 3 and Plugs I Met are both already arguably top 5 GxFR projects.

Conway is dope as hell, but like I said earlier in here, I think he works best in group dynamics. And he still is the best of the 3 IMO if you put them all on Sway or something like that.

It doesn't help that his ear for production is maybe the worst of the 3 too. For example his verse here might be my favorite GxFR freestyle of 2019, and when you hear it on his latest project with the beat he chose, it sounds much less powerful.

Also I think he's a rare emcee that sounds doper live. I already mentioned the freestyles, and IMO joints like '94 Ghost had way more energy on the live version and sounded more raw.
