So and so wants a title shot is pretty much the limit of WWE's creativityWhat fukking storytellingmost of today’s matches have no storytelling.
No, not everyone needs to be a garbage man or a clown, but for fukks sake have some personality and don’t carry yourself like a 12 year old
“I’m A hEeL aNd I’m CoCkY”So and so wants a title shot is pretty much the limit of WWE's creativity
Although the wrestlers are clearly more athletic the matches are not better then 80s 90s early to mid 2000s imo not even close because of this fact.
Kicking out of a Canadian Destroyer but a running knee does the job. Or kicking out of a superplex/Falcon Arrow combination but being pinned after “The Stomp”
Romans right.
why are you guys naming bray and taker like they aren’t the exception to a majority rule? The same two guys, none of you took serious for years, even claiming taker should retire because he doesn’t fit the current era, is now enough proof to discredit what Roman said?
Personality of cardboard boxesHe’s right. And that’s a big part of why it’s so these days
The problem isn't they're reality-based characters the problem is how they book these reality-based characters. WWE didn't have reality-based characters 20 years ago so there is no blueprint on how to book them. The problem of how we view these dudes is no one's fault but WWE's. There should be outlandish characters but if they practiced on fleshing out what they envision as reality-based, then we would be in a better position. We can accept the Takers, Brays, and Hardys but too much wouldn't be any good either in 2020.He’s right that they are “reality based”, but that’s actually the problem. There aren’t “outlandish characters” in the vain of The Goon or Duke The Dumpster Droese besides Taker and Fiend, but you still need actual characters to connect with other than “I can wrestle well” and “I challenge you to a match”. I know exactly who Bianca, Dream, Matt Riddle, New Day, Rollins, Damien Priest, Naomi, and the Usos are. Who’s Tony Nese? Apollo Crews? The Colons (before they were released obviously)? They also think slapping nicknames on people and merchandise before they even have a match does anything
They rely on having big spots too much instead of putting on a good matchAlthough the wrestlers are clearly more athletic the matches are not better then 80s 90s early to mid 2000s imo not even close because of this fact.
