My prediction for next year’s roster.

Brunson/Delon/Kolek
Mikal/Deuce/MarJon
OG/Hart/Yabasule
KAT/Yabasule/Dadiet
Mitch/KAT/Yabasule

If the Knicks just add a 3/D PF like Yabasule and play 2 bigs the majority of the roster issues are fixed.

They can also do 5 out to put pressure on opposing teams defenses for stints.

Also side note, even if they don’t fire Thibs, hire that assistant coach from the Grizzlies LaRoche to implement some pace and space plays into the offense. We need something to keep everyone involved in the offense outside of Brunson getting his and passing out when the defense loads up on him.

I’ve been pretty accurate about the roster over the years and Yabasule just seems like the right type of FA to bring in.

I don’t know about Bruce Brown for this roster. I know he is technically a swing, but we got Hart in the swing role.

You add a 3&D PF and it unlocks a lot more options. Same way I think a big defensive minded PG like Wright backing up Brunson unlocks some options with an undersized SG like Deuce.

Because if Thibs is coming back you got to get as much as possible out of the starting 9. He can’t deal with more than a 9 man rotation.

Thanks for reminding me. So a 9 man rotation and 5 prospects behind them trying to get minutes. It makes sense. Yabu should be available & idk if he is going to want to stay in that trash fire called Philly, plus Philly got to pay Grimes. Like Grimes getting good on Philly is a gift and a curse because to pay him means they can’t be locked under the first apron. Which means they can’t use their Non tax payer MLE.

He should have been on their list but no one thought he had a three ball. Which makes sense he was a horrible shooter in college. I don’t think the suns thought he did either.
