a team that sees his upside would happily give up an aging vet along with a second rounder since his contract isn't ridiculous.
Not at 18M a year over the next 4 years with a Players Option. The upside argument is kinda cooked.
The Bulls valued this dude so much over his tenure that it's been reported multiple times that he was not available in any trade discussions. It really makes no sense to trade him now, because he looks awful. The time to trade him was when you still had the idea that he would do more with more usage...but he was always hurt right shortly after he actually plays well.
Instead of trading him, they need to stop gifting him minutes and make him earn everything from here on out. Let's see if he's content with not playing at all and getting benched for not performing.
