The last couple George cloony movies were great on cinematography, but bootychatter with the script. The American was beautifully shot, awful script. Clayton was beautifully shot, awful script. As for the premise of this thread, even though I scream out b*stard from a basket intermittently, I still can't say it's the best film of the last 10 years. As much as I loved No Country, this should've won the Oscar.
It's storytelling at it's most cinematic. Grandiose , epic, full of layers and depth, but beyond that incredibly entertaining. DDL's performance might be the pinnacle of on screen acting.
And PTA is so talented it actually make's me sick
