Optics of it look bad though. Feels to me like theyre going in the exact opposite direction of what makes sense right now. Also feels very much like this is 100% all about Carson.

The team is in financial hell and clearly a transition spot and in need of adding youth and shedding salary .

Working out a way to get Wentz traded with reworking the deal to eliminate the cap hits in the next few years, while getting back some picks its such an obvious fix. Especially after the disaster of last season

Hiring duce and playing Jalen while rebuilding was a lay up. You had players, respected eagles vets especially, openely pining for duce to to be hired.

Yeah I've been following this whole thing in the Inquirer, all the politics inside the front office and it sounds like Wentz is gonna stay....but I'm still not giving in until draft day is officially here...no one ha s officially counted jalen out of the job just yet...atleast not publically

Dude is trying to get an in with hoeie its bs... Eagles havent drafted well or don well in FA. I give howie credit for fonrdsing the cap but thats it... The amount of injuries fall on him. My thing was if Doug was getting fired then so should howie. Howie has always been overcompensating because of the he is not a football guy thing. Hire folks to manage personnel and get out of tbe way. Bit je wont

Gannon & Harris both coached up good secondaries on successful 4-3 defenses :ehh:


Darby went from getting cooked his last year here to being solid with Washington, same for Xavier Rhodes bouncing back with the Colts. Hopefully either choice can start getting some production like that out of our DBs.

Here’s some news that should make everybody happy. Stoutland is reportedly confirmed to be returning as the OL coach. This is one guy I really wanted to see come back next season.

So far we have:

Nick Sirianni as the Head Coach, Jonathan Gannon as the defensive coordinator, and Jeff Stoutland returning as the OL coach. Still curious to see who they bring in as the OC (reportedly interviewing Shane Steichen, the Chargers' OC, for the position) and QB coach.
