Didn’t know they had two seasons, thought this was it.This is the one show that I'll allow any type of fukkery to endure simply cause the writing is phenomenal.... With only two seasons left I want everything thrown at me till the ride is over.... Bringing Ferguson back may be worth wild....
That's one character I didn't mind being brought back, because her fukkery was second to none and she's actually a terrifying female villain. Everybody would have liked for Bea to come back, it was a brave move they made but it did actually work.
With that being said, good episode. My thoughts:
- Definitely NOT feeling that new theme song. WTF was that? Why did they have to go and pull a 'Power' move? I was looking forward to the "you don't know me when IIIII don't know yooooouu" (whatever that means lol) then they bring that wack shyt.
- The new general manager. I don't trust this broad and can tell she's gonna be one of the villains. Why is she so pushy and insistent with Vera to come back to Wentworth and make all these changes...plus why does she wanna get rid of Will so bad, the only Samoan guard? Dude is the best out of all of them. I'm glad Vera stuck up for him.
- Vera bringing her baby amongst the prisoners, then letting one of them hold it? This broad is WAAAY too naive for her own good sometimes.
- That new former top dog 'Fingers' and her trans boyfriend. She didn't think Allie was 'bout that life and thought she was soft (I did too for a bit, not gonna lie) but bytch proved her wrong in the end lol. Don't forget Allie's been through some shyt. Bea was scared and fragile when she first came to Wentworth too, then ended up being Top Dog. She'll always be the GOAT though.
- Joan gonna take Vera's kid? I think she and that shady new general manager are working together.
they did the most to explain away ferguson's existence...
this new warden or whatever needs to go, she's embezzling funds
Should I binge this?
Alright just watched the season finale...
SPOILERS:
Overall I was disappointed with Season 8. It had it's moments, but this was the weakest by far. There were no true edge of your seat moments like previous seasons. I thought it would pick up halfway through and was expecting some fukkery from Ferguson, but turns out she just discovers who she really is right at the end? Really? Bringing her back did nothing to bring the excitement since she was an amnesiac the whole time. The only "OH shyt" moment was the one surprise of that British mixed race chick literally stabbing Allie in the back showing how shady and she really is.
LOu and Reb are the WOAT characters of the whole show and I got tired of all the controlling and complaining shyt. Like, fukk outta here, seriously.
Allie obviously wasn't built for the Top Dog position since she's been bullied and pushed around more than all the others. Even Kaz would have had more dominance.
This last episode was what a mid season episode should have been, not a season finale and I felt underwhelmed.
The old characters that are gone are missed and had way more charm than these newer ones - Bea who will always be the GOAT character with Franky being second, not to mention Doreen, Liz, and a few others. .
There's one more season to go, from what I've read they already filmed it so I hope it improves on season 8, especially now that Joan finally has her memory back.
I'm gonna have to agree that this was a soft ass season.Novak gotta be the worst Top Dog the show has ever had She don't think shyt through and she walking dolo when shyt is hot she let the crew go Bea and Franky would have at least tried to put Ruby to use even with her parole on the line.
I was indifferent to Judy right up until she shanked the fukk out of Allie. Now that I know she's bout that life I look forward to her head to head with GM Ann.
