I remember asking my teacher early on about sparring and he was like :childplease:

Idk if muay thai gyms are different but in boxing we wasnt posed to really get busy in any capacity for months.

New nikkas are spazzes n all it takes is somebody not realizing combat training is a energy matching exercise. Then u got a war going on at ur expense :dead:

You just did ur first class and you trying to spar? They gon fukk you up b

I want the pain, I'm trying to get through 30 years of PTSD, only way is through :demonic:
But nah, I'm gonna give it a few months before I put myself in that stage, I was just excited, still am :wow:

My teacher was like "Whenever you ready :myman:"

I'm sure the main instructor will NOT say that :russ:

Most of the dudes I asked said about 4-6 months before they started sparring.

Today is their advanced sparring so it was dudes who has been doing it for at least a year. I know better, but I was still antsy watching them do it :russ:

Teacher took down a dude with three well placed thigh kicks, he was the shorter fighter too :wow:
I think I'm in brehs :wow:

Good for you but sounds like you need to go to a therapist couch as well if you havent been. Those pstd flashbacks are gonna come real quick when you get your ass beat sparring against those pros. you better believe thats coming. Your ego is going to get bruised too and that comes with training. Cant be great without losing first.

Yea, the one I used to go to in king of prussia, you had to buy gloves. I think it was part of the joining fee.

The client I worked for out there said the coworker that was there before me came in one day looking like he got beat up, bleeding in the face. I just wouldn't have showed up, lol
Was it Algeo's by chance? I went there for a BJJ class and realized I paid WAY too much money :dead:

Good, good. :salute: stick with that muay thai or whatever martial arts you decide to get into for as long as you can. Its worth it. The discipline factor is a MUST.

I was trying to get back into learning some martial arts/self defense before the pandemic but got sidetracked and fell off. Didnt have the money but might go back. Should have stuck with that shyt when i was younger doing it in 99 with my brother. Almost made it to yellow belt but had quit because the guy who was training us was on some bullshyt. :snoop: kept playing games with my mom when it came to the uniforms.
