I'm not sure what that means. ADOS and FBA have spent years now shytting all over the NAACP so why would they want or attempt to be there?

"ADOS" had to find this out themselves after all that time shytting on them just to turn around with "Project Takeover"-- a public admission of their intentions to January 6th the org. I don't care for the NAACP much but would you do with these kinda relations.
I’m saying this is a huge event that that happens yearly there. I used to cover it every year when I lived there. Of course they’re going to try to keep it peaceful out there. VP Harris was there too. She was just in Charlotte and secret service was doing the most with the media, imagine what would happen with these people trying to get around in there.

There are tens of thousands of posts, right here on the coli
In the past few years

Of posters who under the direction of Yvette Carnell said they wanted to DESTROY THE NAACP

Said they wanted to take it over
The posts and threads are right here on the coli

And usually 100% of those posters are maga and republican leaning posters

Agents galore

Late stage capitalism or the contemporary failings of the aspiring bourgeoisie?
Wait for the other shoe to drop to find out another group has been shoehorned in.

I understand. I don't care for ADOS either. But I do understand nuance. The leaders of ADOS at least does serious scholarship and not leading their movement with half-truths and misinformation.

FBA on the other hand has fallen into the same camp as BLM. BLM originally had an altruistic purpose but devolved into becoming hostile running interference for LGBT. And rightfully so, many of us stop messing with them. FBA can't see that they're doing the same thing, running interference with these diaspora wars promoting xenophobia and isolationism. And then positing themselves as the face of black Americans. Nobody ain't trying to mess with that.
The problem with ADOS is they came in hard with the anti African/Caribbean rhetoric instead of focusing on their mission which was reparations. They rode that wave so hard that other splinter groups formed on the same wave making it difficult for them to gain allies. It doesn't help that they embraced white supremacist replacement theory. They essentially went to far into the deep end for anyone outside the group to cosign them. The leadership(Yvette)is so toxic that they even chased away the only credible scholar in their circle (Dr Darity).

You're either lying or a super c00n as you're running the immigrant talking points with all that xenophobia bullshyt

Your people ain't been around the block long enough for anyone to lie to you. For all I know your people could've got here in the mid 1800's right before slavery ended.

Yeah, I didn't know about them embracing white supremacist replacement theory. I know I heard Yvette being affiliated with some conservative group but it sounded like some stuff FBA came up with to discredit her movement so didn't take it serious. How were they using white replacement theory in their arguments to support the cause for reparations?

And I thought Yvette was partnered with Antonio Moore? I didn't know Dr. Darity was affiliated with them even though they would cite his research all the time.

For what? They don't ask us for anything, and we don't vote for them, unlike the Democrats.

Also, how are they the biggest obstacle when no Democrats who matter support it either, and they're the side that acts like they love us?
Well considering that side is actively enacting legislation to undue everything we’ve gained to make us a permanent underclass I’d say so.

But anyway, let’s say the Democrats have a change of heart and say they’ll support reparations. Then what?

What’s the plan to address the other side? What’s the move if Democratic politicians support, but Dem voters don’t, and they gotta walk it back?

I don't know. I just thought it was extreme to make them leave the event and also counter productive.

Why be performative, how come they arent showing up to congressional town halls and and holding fundraisers to show politicians their voice matters.

Thats what is requires breh

Sounds like you should be signing up and joining a chapter. Very good ideas.

I'm m just focused on what happened in the clip. What they did was fine and I endorse the message as far as reparation. I believe you should vote but really acting like they were swaying the crowd is ludicrous getting kicked out was heavy handed. Tolerance would have been better.

Been over with.

Get your Passports.
You're suggesting fleeing the United States to settle some other country because a rally went poorly?
But we need to come together…

:sas2:

Take care of yourself and your families brehs and brehettes. Ain’t no “we”. That’s why when I hear the south is better for black people, yet I see the crackas doing the most down there, I have to turn off my ears. “We” have no agenda and can’t even agree on reparations or what to call ourselves.

:francis:

A sad state of affairs.
You're stating this as a jaded activist who has spent years working for the liberation of African-Americans, and not as an uninvolved participant whose role has largely been as an online commentator, right?
Boule controlled opposition negro groups getting exposed one by one.
Besides Boule being a nonsense term as applied to the NAACP.

Can't tell if you're referring to FBA, which is a nonsense loosely connected troll-organization, or this random NAACP chapter.
ADOS, at least at various points in the last several years, has had actual academics and organizers diligently working on reparations legislation on the state and federal level.

Not the people who Tweet "#ADOS" and argue about racial lineage - but the every-day folks involved.

It isn't a national movement with much strength, but there are genuine actors within the loose org.

I am calling it inherently dishonest on there part.

Why be performative when there are legitimate mechanisms to advance agenda.
