I know 2 married couples personally that claim they are separated. I work with one . He makes about $1000 more than me a check . His wife told the aide office they were separated . She gets stamps and childcare . All thingsthey couldn't get by being married .

IMO, most black men (and many black women too) believe that the only type of deadbeat is the one who is completely absent. But there are other types of deadbeats, such as the pop-up dads. A lot of black men make excuses for them though, because they believe as long as the man "sees" the kids sometimes, that he can't be a deadbeat.

Using the new definition that people are trying to push; White men would be the biggest group of irresponsible fathers. They would have very little contact in their children lives under that premise, but you know people ain't going to push that line. When the topic comes up, i always wonder how we're defining deadbeat, because my definition of one seems to be different than most black men.

Most black men seem to think that the only type of deadbeat is the one who is completely absent.
There are other types of deadbeats too.

When it comes to the dudes who could be there in the household helping the mom raise the kid but instead decided to move on and do their thing because they didn't want to raise them, and "pop in" every weekend or two to see them, they are also deadbeats to me. You don't abandon your kids just because you don't feel like being a full time dad. Most black men don't consider other black men to be a deadbeat as long as the nikka "sees" his kids. Seeing and raising them are two different things. I know dudes right now who don't consider themselves deadbeats because they "see" their kids but honestly i consider them to be. They don't do as much as they could and honestly their baby mama is too dumb to see that. Meanwhile those dudes leave and do what they want and drop crazy bread on whatever they want. I've known dudes who tell the baby mama they don't have it but then leave and cop an expensive watch

It is a problem. You're missing all sorts of moments in your kids lives by not being there but you want a cookie and parade thrown for stopping by when you feel like it? I think we need to set the bar higher. Instead of breaking out the confetti and praise for "seeing" your kids, how about let's encourage 2 parent households where we stay and help raise them instead of being pop up dads

I'm noticing that whenever white men do that's negative ( domestic violence, cop killing, rapist, deadbeat dad ) its always pushed unto black men as the default stereotype . Its almost like someone is planning this whole thing...........

It's believable. I looked at it like, it's the black men who have kids who were being generalized, not those of us who don't. When people said a lot of black men weren't being good fathers, i never got offended because i don't have any kids even if i did, i probably still wouldn't have took offense because i know if i had them, i'd never abandon them and they'd be well taken care of.But this is definitely believable, especially since it's The Black Authority.

Black women do need to do better, but if you know you don't want to deal with black women and any children that you may produce together, stop fukking them. Out of the 60% that do have kids, 72% of those kids are born out-of-wedlock......
