Its the epitome of guilty pleasure. Problem is at a certain point the guilt overrides the pleasure and it becomes unbearable. and are good in small doses but 2 hours a day, 5 days a week of these guys?

this was REALLY the downfall of the show. when it was 1st & 10 they would sprinkle in the debate segments every 30mins or so over 2hrs around interviews and ect. but then they switched it up to the entire show being dedicated to debating is when it fell da fukk off. it wouldnt be that bad if they would switch up the topics but they debate the same 2-4 topics the entire 2hrs

They're playing characters and exploiting sensitive material for the viewer to eat up. They're just using sports as the backdrop to do it.

Skips the old white man who says outlandish shyt, Skip is the loud confident black guy who says outlandish shyt. Both are 2 character types they know the viewer responds to.

but if you look at skip in general...his whole life hes been like that. he was forced to be less trollish but I remember his columns at SJ mercury...dude was the shytstarter pretty much his whole journalistic career.

so for this show espn didnt have to change one thing but to let the dude talk his nonsense and bait people.

All ESPN opinion shows struggle to come up with topics to discuss during the summer. PTI, M&M, ATH all struggle during the summer when there's only baseball to talk about. Mike & Tony on PTI don't even show up in the summer for the most part. First Take will be fine when the NFL is in full swing and the NBA starts. Its still the only show that will talk about the NBA for hours straight no holds barred...

Look at how Joyn Salley is getting in on this lately and saying how MJ isn't a top 5 player of all time, he observes the code of business and proceeds.

Yeah, that is pretty awful.

It's the whole network that is complete bullshyt. Plain and simple, I can't name a quality outlet of sports information on that show, being dead honest.

NFL Live and NFL32 are probably the least egregious of offenders on that network and NFL Network still is much much better
