She has a point. Lewis is a fraud and not the person the media makes him out to be. 
I already brought up those points being from skip and I used them because I agree. I don't have a problem with religious folks. None whatsoever, but I also see where the church is failing in today's society. People look at the messengers and the wrong messenger does more harm than good. Ray Lewis is the wrong messenger. Yeh go out and mentor the youth. That's admirable but leave the religion out of it because this is the flip side and he is not prepared for it and neither are his fans.
There is no one on this planet without sin. Being selective with who has the right to praise him openly is counter productive. There is no right or wrong messenger. Would you say the same about a non contracted out of work carpenter hanging with prostitutes and thieves? The only wrong in this whole debate is how people make religion (and education) selective to a few based along a socio economic line. Ray has a testimony. If going thru what he did got him to this place, then let him be. Just like working for $5/hr plus tips while wearing suggestive clothing piquing men sexual desires got her where she is. That all sounds great but that's the exact reason why religion is failing in today's society. The old guard is just now starting to wake up to this. In order to continue to succeed to you have to adapt to the time. That means protecting your image in the media.
Whether you like it or not people look at the messenger before they hear the message. We look at how a person walks, talks and dresses before we decide if this is a person I want to follow. We are shallow people and for years religion in the modern day has had many people like Ray come and go. It does more harm than good. That's the way it is.
