That all sounds great but that's the exact reason why religion is failing in today's society. The old guard is just now starting to wake up to this. In order to continue to succeed to you have to adapt to the time. That means protecting your image in the media.
Whether you like it or not people look at the messenger before they hear the message. We look at how a person walks, talks and dresses before we decide if this is a person I want to follow. We are shallow people and for years religion in the modern day has had many people like Ray come and go. It does more harm than good. That's the way it is.
Your premise is wrong. Go ahead and speak ill on a man who had true trials and tribulations and has a testimony that he wants the world to hear. God forbid he uses his platform to praise God instead of using it to push a sponsored product or brand.
