what part about converting to god means nothing. Religion doesn't work like that. That's why we have so many heathens walking around now. The word is a lifestyle and it comes with age and time. Religion is more than a relationship with god but it is also a social experience. People hold their pastors to high esteem so when a pastor is found to be doing something wrong, he steps down. The people of the church are let down. You can sit up here and say, "they should stick it out because the word is more important than one man" but for a lot of people it isn't and only now the church is starting to realize that.

People aren't going to hear the message if they don't like the messenger and guys like Ray Lewis who are polarizing figures preaching and catching the holy ghost on the field will turn more people off to religion than not especially with all his baggage. He should know that and anyone who has stepped foot in a church should know that.
