keep chopping up a message board into tiny bits and watch it disappear.
What was the reasoning behind moving it?... I probably use the Arcadium a moderate amount....but I still sorta like to see the video games, movies, TV, and comics, books together, b/se there is so much crossover.
I would prefer yall keep these threads in the Arcadium ..
there was a large thread going on about it, its still in the arcadium if you want to see what lead to this but basically me and brooklynzson agreed that we're growing pretty quick as a forum (we're already the 20th largest xenforo site on the internet :wow). most big forums have gaming and movies split into 2 forums and for good reason so this was basically something that would end up happening regardless.
another factor was just how different gaming and movie/show threads are. gaming is a ton of stanning and fukkery while the movie and tv shows threads are a little more serous so while theres a lot of crossover it seemed like two totally different cultures. a lot of people were turned off by the gaming threads and didnt bother with the arcadium even though they like movies and shows.
other than being upset at the reduced convenience, theres no reason an arcadium regular who enjoys movies/shows wouldn't like this new forum and vice versa. its also unlikely either of them will "fail" its not like people are going to stop posting about gaming or tv shows so they should both do fine. infact they should do better. in the arcadium, threads about gaming that would normally be on page 2 will now be on page 1 and here in this forum i think we'll pick up a lot of new posters who didnt feel like sifting through gaming threads to talk about movies or shows.
but only time will tell. if it doesnt work out, we'll contract this forum back into the arcadium and everything will be back to normal.
