Facts, whole offense gonna be off the first 3 to 4 weeks of the season. This isn't a proven core of players who don't need the live reps. They have a lot to learn and fast. Dumb ass strategy.

Meh. Every team approaches pre season differently, the Falcons aren’t the only team who don’t play most of their starters in the preseason so I think the outrage is misplaced.

The Falcons do joint practices vs other teams (Miami the past couple of seasons) which are often times more competitive than the preseason game so I don’t know how much they’re gaining by playing a handful of series in a meaningless preseason game

The Rams are one of the best-ran teams in the league and they don't play any starters in the preseason either and that's where our coaching staff just came from. This is one of those analytical things that will be criticized until it's widely adopted just like NBA teams shooting 3's or MLB teams batting their best hitter 2nd in the lineup.
