Shyt don't matter. lol it's monster movies man. All of the movies were connected back in the day and there was no overarching thing. They showed up in each others movies and wrecked shyt. let it cook

No but it needs to have a great script with some high level dialog, top notch acting, great plot development, and great villain arc backstory

Wish we could have some practical effects with monsters in makeup rather than cgi like in the 80s but who am I kidding... None of these actors are willing to sit in a chair for 12 plus hours and studios would rather have nothing but over the top cgi

I was watching You're so cool brewster the story of fright night, the make up and old school effects made the vampires much more scarier/cooler

I'm not even saying all that lol. Don't make it Fast and Furious but the whole thing about it being overarching and some storyline at the end seems counterproductive to me. Just establish a world where all of these monsters can roam free. I'm sure Crowe as Van Helsing is the connective tissue so maybe he's the one they want? No clue. The real question is, who is playing the bride?

Maybe he will be but from mummy featurette I think he may be a one and done character I hope I'm wrong . I'm torn cause cruise and creative people are great but depp and bardem have horrible taste in projects but can amazing when they are on .

universal need's to say fukk it and go all the way to 100 with the fukkery and spinoff the " Monster Force" from the "Dark Universe"

a group of jet setting monster slayer traveling all around the world trapping and killing monster's/supernatural entities/folk legends

shyt they could fukk around and find a ghostbusters like franchise for the 2020's if Universel can get the right group of lead actor's for the team of monster hunter's with the right mix action/adventure and dark horror story telling

They don't need to turn it into a superhero teamup in order to have them all share screen time and co mingle .

They did this back in the original universal monster movie universe with films like House of Dracula, House of Frankenstein etc. House of Dracula is one of my favorite classic horror movies along with the OG Dracula with Bela

Probably will be Dracula. And I guess we will get Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe's characters appearing in the other movies as that super-secret organization getting involved in all the supernatural shenanigans.

House of Dracula was John Carradine as Dracula. Bela didn't play Dracula again after the 1931 movie until Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein.

House of Frankenstein is awesome. One of my favorites from these movies.
