They saying Wayne is trolling...
:yeshrug:

Lol where are they saying that at? I sorta figured it but u can never be sure with something like this...

I Wouldn't be surprised if the album dropped on Tuesday like it was supposed to but just randomly to itunes like how Beyonce did last year.

I was about to say the same thing. LL is the epitome of Longevity.
People in here doubting LL? :why:

Even saying he ain't been relevant in a decade, 90% of rappers would give their left nut to have a 20+ year long career.

Fred.

:dwillhuh:
OK, guys...nobody is doubting that LL has longevity. The sub-issue at hand is whether he (along with other rappers who've been in the game for a comparable amount of time) is relevant. Yes, dude's been in the game for a minute (30 years is quite a while) but he hasn't been relative in over a decade as far as rapping goes. Y'all are shifting goal posts by switching the issue from relevance to longevity.

Compare LL's career to Nas' and you'll see that Nas' career is an example of longevity AND relevance. In the last 10 years, Nas has dropped 3 solo albums and 1 collab album. What has LL done in the rap game (other than that overhyped, overrated "Accidental Racist" song) within that time frame?

At this point in his rapping career, LL is a fading figure. Nas is still active. Nas wins.

The only moving goal post is relevance. If you've been around 20 years, you're good. You're in an elite group, with Nas. There is no either/or.

"Relevance" means nothing without context....Chief Keef was "relevant" a year ago and flopped, then got dropped. You're basically saying "let's look at a 20 year long career....but wait, is he relevant now....what about now?" and moving the time line. Eventually nobody is relevant if we're going by that logic.

Nas is at his 20th year,LL is at his 30th. Nasir's next 10 years will look no better than LL''s last 10 years. Nasir's 2004-2014 years were no more relevant than ll's 1995-2005

Relevance was the whole point of this sub-discussion. Relevance is about being in the here and now. Jay-Z has it. As does Nas. LL not so much.

There is a difference between longevity and relevance.

There's a whole lot of baseless speculation in your post.

Nas is not has notr been as relevant as jay for a very long time. NAs is living off past accomplishments just like LL has been doing.

Dude, just stop.
Over the last 10 years nas has not dropped an album that broke a million in sales. This includes a double album. And his total sales are around 2.3 mil.

Jay's total sales are around 8.3mil over the last decade. Big difference. Consisting of 5 platinum or platinum+ projects.
