realistically i can't think of any label or collective he could be in
dude had cash money on his back by his damn self for so many years it just wouldn't look right to see him anywhere else, he may as well be indie
if wayne leaves then cash money should end too, cuz nobody is gonna respect any of the other people as legit cash money artists
Although they weren't on the level they are now, there was a period where BG was carrying the label & I felt the same way then.
I believe I have underestimated Baby & his ability to recognize when it's time to dispose of talent.
BG - Was dropping nothing but fire from Chopper City to Chopper City In The Ghetto. Checkmate wasn't very good & he was gone. Now some people actually like his later work, but Baby already got his best years.
Juvenile - Baby already got his best work
Turk - He knew what he had with Turk. Surprised he gave him the green light to release one solo.
Mannie Fresh - Mannie will always be dope, but Baby got his prime years
The point is he used these guys when they were at their best & then disposed of them. That's why he never seemed to trip when they left. None of those guys ever released material that was as close to being good as their CMR material. He held on to Wayne back then, because he knew he hadn't got Wayne's best yet. He's gotten it now.
I doubt he gives a fukk if Wayne wants to leave because he's already had his best years. Baby is a beast
