Weed isnt addictive its like if u rly like tea an u drink it alot cus it relaxes u, then someones like u cant drink tea anymore an ur like y wtf. It just seems pointless to stop, if we found out weed rapidly destroys braincells i could quit, but i need a good reason to.
rehab for weed?:dead:
it's impossible to have a real physical addiction to mariuana. it can be mental, just like any other habit, but it will never be a physical addiction.
if you think weed "withdrawl" is bad, then don't ever become an alcoholic.
i just miss the bud when it's gone. i don't think i've ever had symptoms...and i've been smoking for about 12 years.

:snoop: Even if I post this your brain is too fried to comprehend it.

In this view, the paradigm for addiction is heroin: the shaking, puking heroin junkie who can’t quit because the withdrawal sickness is impossible to bear. Because marijuana cessation is not linked with such severe symptoms, the drug isn’t seen as physically addictive. And considering that most people view physical addiction as uncontrollable, but psychological addiction as manageable with proper willpower, marijuana tends not to be regarded as addictive in general. (More on Time.com: Addiction Files: Recovering From Drug Addiction, Without Abstinence).

But virtually all addiction experts disagree with that stance. “The distinction is completely arbitrary. Psychological addiction occurs in your brain and it’s a physical change,” says Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Different brain processes may be involved in the psychological drive to take drugs and in the physical withdrawal symptoms when the drug is stopped — but both are brain changes.

As it turns out, the psychological drive is much more powerful than the physical experience of withdrawal. Cocaine, which also produces little withdrawal sickness but does create extreme craving, was once seen as nonaddictive — that was before America was introduced to crack in the 1980s. More than a century ago, Mark Twain summed up the essence of the problem, in reference to the addictiveness of tobacco: “Giving up smoking is easy,” he said. “I’ve done it thousands of times.”

I personally had the same experience with heroin. I got through the nausea and chills at least five different times, but avoiding the psychological draw of the drug long-term was much harder than suffering through a few weeks of withdrawal symptoms. Quitting cocaine is similar.

You can quit at anytime huh? :stopitslime:

Just like you most likely said you'd quit after some traumatic experience or that you'd stop masturbating? Like I said the only other group of people who I've seen just totally dismiss and bury scientific data are homosexual advocates.

Anybody who says weed isn't addictive is crazy. I know MFs who NEED to soke everyday. When they don't smok, they get irritable, angry, can't sleep, their eating is off etc.

I know cats that have had goo ass jobs, got tested positive for thc, got suspended, went back to work and still continued to smoke. :mindblown:

I know and have seen MF lose out on employment because they could not stop smokin. And u mean to tell me they are not addicted to weed? :rudy:

@silver one thing i've learned is that it's rarely productive to talk to the public at large about addiction. you gotta talk to current or recovering addicts or counselors.

so starting a thread on the coli isn't gonna do a lot for you, you already got people in here laughing at you when you seem to have a significant problem

tbh i quit all types of things just by losing interest in them. quit wow cus i realized it wasted time, almost quit weed cus i didnt have money (luckly i hit some licks so that wasnt a problem), quit dxm cus taking 15 pills at once sucks, dont like shrooms cus they taste bad and acid keeps you up for 24 hours so fukk that, quit jerkin it cus i felt like a lame doin it.

I can quit anything, by focusing on a bad part about it. And luckly im good at moving on from things, i remember i stopped smoking for 2 weeks during chrismas, tbh i didt care about weed after it till i smoked again. It is psychological, but a smart person knows how to manipulate their mind to get over it. Now dependency makes things tricky. Personally the reasons i dont want to quit weed is because i just love the feel of gettin some pretty herb, smellin it, id miss gettin all types of strains an tryin all types of bud, and mostly having it to relax after a bad day. Having a passion in life is really key in the boundary between addiction and appreciation/hobby. I ultimately love music, so as long as weed isnt my number one focus i can quit.

I am addicted. But I have stopped for weeks at a time. I just drink when that happens. Its just part of my daily routine.

If weed got cut off in my life. I'd be OK with that.

But I like it too much to stop.

cant drink, its vile to me. Honestly weed is becoming the only drug i can do it really spoils you. Doesnt hav the scust smell/taste of cigs, doesnt have the scust smell or stomach ache of shrooms, doesnt KEEP YOU UP FOR 24 HOURS like acid (trust me it sucks), doesnt have the absolutely putrid smell, taste, or feel of alcohol, like srsly all i can drink is indian pale ale beer, wine, and (good) vodka. Any other liquor wreaks me. First time i smelled/drank alcohol that was it for me, i couldnt understand why anyone could drink something that smells as awful as gasoline
