looking at AEW's travel schedule for the weekly TNT shows through November and they downgraded in arena quality/capacity from what we saw tonight.

tonight was in a legit NBA/NHL arena and the rest of the shows through November are in smaller arenas of 7,000-10,000 in capacity. that's a smart move on their part in advance. book a NBA/NHL updated arena for their first show and get a bunch of attention, and then for the next couple of months save money on shytty/cheaper arenas as you see how things go with the company. if attendance and television ratings do well during that time, then I bet they'll start going back to bigger arenas on a weekly by January.

they sold out their first TNT show tonight and will easily sell out those smaller venues.

Was just ok to me, main event was entertaining. Feel like they need some proper storylines so the shows are episodic in nature. Should feel like you have to watch next week to know what's gonna happen next and keep updated with the story. Didn't see anything on a whole that made this must watch straight away live next week. In ring is very important but a lot of fans also want a story to be told. The show was just average to me, no matches were incredibly memorable and nothing amazing really happened. I know they are just getting started though so a lot of room for improvement but I would have liked anticipation to be build for the next show. It shouldn't be scripted promo wise, bullet points are fine but also want to create rivalries and stories. It's early days though but basing it off this episode. Most memorable things they've done storyline wise to me so far in the company is the Cody vs Dustin match which ended up living up to expectations in the ring and the Spears attacking Cody shyt, that was interesting, I also liked the story Darby Allen had in the ring against Cody how he wouldn't give up, made me intrigued. Wrestling was best to me when had gimmicks and storylines so it was a mix of entertainment and in ring entertainment. I'd like to see some edgy and interesting characters and stories. This show was just a 3 out of 5 to me, was ok, not bad but nothing special. Hopefully it improves.

Jack Hager is a good signing if used right. They could reinvent him as like their Brock. He can be intense when motivated, has a wrestling background and is an MMA fighter. He just has to be booked well and dominant, use his skills, size and power to beat competition. Important he's kept strong for a while then they can use him to create good feuds.

I like Pac, he's dope, feel like he could do big things and even be the champion 1 day. He's got the in ring abilities and psychology down too. If he's put in some great stories and feuds he could shine and become a bigger star.

Fun show, the commentary was better, I think they found the right pairing

The main event was messy but I think they wanted to set up all their top feuds. I just don’t think they should of did them like that

The show feels so much like a wcw reboot it’s not funny, I expect a solid to decent show every week, but they need a star sooner than later to really compete

There's no top talent that stands out that I like besides Pac although his name sucks. Kenny Omega fell off. Jack Swagger reboot is Jack MAGA so fukk him.
