You mean the documentary filled with elementary, basic facts easily acquirable at the library, let alone online..ones where he's able to produce dirt cheap, however still crowd surfs, on top of the proceeds??But eh. Is capitalism, so:manny:

You didn't answer his question.

How many other people are making history films that show blacks in a positive light?

There are many sources, and Black content creators, some of which create excellent content on Netflix: 8 Black History Documentaries You Need to Stream on Netflix, ASAP
Even YT, believe it, or not. One of my person faves is: HomeTeam History who creates stellar, informative, engaging , Black oriented work, despite it not being on the same league; and I'm not begrudging a brotha for making a dollar, either. Just find it highly ironic, that in light of a few 'Black documentaries'(all for profit), and recent years of 'pro-Blackness', pimp daddy Nasheed by some is crowned as a king, when much like the Root, he has his own checked history of demonstrative anti-Blackness, and sowing of bad, derisive seeds...different topic, all-together, tho. Will stay on this one

Actually, you are begrudging him for making a dollar, even with your fake "but whatever capitalism I guess" at the end. And also the movie apparently isn't empowering for black people because it uses facts found in books [as opposed to from thin air?]

Pretty suspect that the first things you had to say about a rare movie that actually shows blacks empowering themselves and fighting back and winning against white people, were:

-the fact people willingly paid for a product they received, and were highly satisfied with [293 reviews, 5 stars on Amazon, #21 ranked Documentary on Amazon], and

- that the facts in the movie were already in books. As if that isn't the case with all documentaries.

With these weak points, you seem desperate to frame a rare successful movie where black slaves fight back and win as not empowering for black people. And I can't imagine why...
Just all around 'interesting' behavior from you :mjpls:

Yup. "Pimp Daddy Nasheed", race-pimp charging people actual money for an informational product, which means the information must be bad despite the 5-star reviews (no one tell him that movies and even non-fiction textbooks have a price)...

sowing division by showing black slaves fighting back :laff:

They're not even trying anymore.

Not sure which mods to tag but I think this one is obvious enough for a ban @Barnett114

:russell:Nice try. Tag as many people as you'd like. Might be able to hit more on game by post more links & sources of quality Black oriented, in process.

Yeah, too bad didn't address, or critique his work, perse, but HIM, particularly his questionable character/motives and him pretty much being a hustler.:yeshrug: Outside of a few places, not too many Black ppl fuk with him and to suggest him of all possibly running the Root as an empowering, vehicle of Black unification &strength is:russ:
Nice try:ufdup:

I wasn't at all addressing the nature of his work, and whether or not they are satisfactory but HIM

Exactly the problem. You are so desperate to dismiss a highly successful empowering black movie that you had to resort to personal attacks against its creator, rather than attacking its content [saying you don't like the movie because it shows black slaves beating white people for once would be way too obvious].

Nice to see you come clean, agent. At least you're honest about your subversive tactics.

Exactly!! Tariq was brought up as being a possible owner, I mocked the idea as being absurd given he's not a positive Black leader as it is, and YOU took offense tried to make it go left . Just can't handle Tariq criticism, or that many don't worship the dude..sorry to burst ur bubble. Get off the stan shyt.Yvette, Dr. Umar, Boyce, and guess what... even ur idol Tariq, all got detractors. Imagine that!
When they say Tariq really got grown ass men straight up stanning like a teenage pop idol, they wasn't lying!
Sn: For any overly sensitive, emotional ass Grown, Tariq stans, bets?:shaq:
