Anyway, New Day doesn't have to necessarily be a Black militant/NOD 2.0 group. These 3 guys have plenty reasons to be angry, frustrated, hungry to get to the top without WWE adding a racial component to it.
The more I see of these cats, the less I kind of feel like they are built for that NoD angle anyways. Looking back...those Nation cats just looked and felt more naturally dangerous, in any incarnation of the group.
The "racial component" is going to be there regardless though. This is a group of 3 black men performing for a mostly young white male audience. This isn't necessarily me disagreeing with you, but more like saying that we can have both. They don't need to be explicit about their racial
animosity, general white resentment will give them the same affect without having to "go there". They'll get heat from these neckbeards easily.
This should have started with Mark Henry being the figurehead and "recruiting" the other wrestlers. I been saying this since Cryme Tyme was still on the roster. Have a veteran start talking about how they keep getting held back, Henry first recruit would be Kofi who then helps get the younger wrestlers to join
He could have been a VICIOUS Suge Knight/Kingpin type of leader for a group....maybe that would be more of a post in-ring career for him though.
Mean Mark would add some actual danger to the group though.
He'd probably be smart to avoid this shyt altogether though.
