You have to attack him, if a dude keeps on slapping you on the face and backs of amazingly fast, will you try to slap him back or try to knock him out?
Floyd had some boring fights in which people turnt it up, but some of these people just trying to survive the fight by not really turning it up and just collecting a better check than they'll ever get. Pacman had the the chance to prove that he could be mentioned in the same breath as Money but he just stood there delivering lame attacks and Floyd just controlled him like a prostitute.

He has a very few boring fights for a real boxing head, from 2003 I could probably name 4-5.
And in those fights, if you are technically inferior and losing the fight why the hell would you keep on doing the same shyt instead of trying to make some drastic change and turn it up a la Cotto? Floyd is winning the fight and keeping protecting his brain, it's on you to make it interesting not the dude who is winning comfortably.

So you could name 4-5 boring fights out of the 16 fights floyd has had since 2003? I'm just curious, which ones would you pick?

Regardless, the burden is on both fighters to make the fight entertaining... Yesterday felt like a night, where if Manny threw 0 punches, then Mayweather was gonna throw 1 pot shot and stare at him. As far as disappointment goes, I'm disappointed in both of em, but much more so in pacman who didn't even give an earnest attempt to win

I feel like there are hundreds of examples of Mayweather punishing inactivity, and stupid aggression, but yesterday night wasn't one of em

I'm surprised Tyson talking the way he does. He out of all peole should appreciate the art of boxing and how masterful Floyd is. he is bitter/jealous that his career fell apart in the manner that it did.

He probably does appreciate it, but hes so good that hes boring. Never in my life will I rewatch a money mayweather fight. But I go back and watch PBF.

PBF = Prime Mike in terms of talent and skills.

If people were underwhelmed, it should be with Pac. He didn't take the fight to a brawling level and that's largely because he wasn't good enough to take Floyd outside of his comfort zone. Pac was the underwhelming one because you knew what Floyd was going to do in the ring.

But being boring and disappointing are 2 different things. Mayweather was boring, but definitely not disappointing. Pacquiao was boring and disappointing.

Dumbest thing I've read on here. Way to minimize that racism.

The fact of the matter is, Mayweather has fought this way his entire career, it's no secret. People still tune in for all of his fights to see him lose, that's a fact. Even when he fights bums like Victor Ortiz or Robert Guerro, people still want to see that undefeated record go away.

So if the result was different, people who want to see Mayweather lose would be entertained more so, and thus there would be less bytching. You know this already, stop playing dumb.
what is so hard to understand or accept about people not liking a guy with his style of boxing? It's as simple as that. People are generally not entertained by 12 round decisions with minimal action. My point is that most of you attack people who call him boring as if people HAVE TO be entertained by him.

Where they at??? Bc if last night didnt tell a diff story...nvm his entire career.

N Maywewther fans appreciating what he does, are just as bad as ppl calling him ****** and hoping he dies......yeah, okay
Believe it or not, there exists a faction of people in this world that can look at a professional athlete objectively and appreciate what he does without adding in all the extra bullshyt. I think he's the best defensive boxer of all-time and probably a top 5 boxer of all-time. People who deny that are haters. With that being said, it doesn't mean his fights are entertaining at all.

Same reaction after every Floyd fight. People pay to see him lose and leave disappointed everytime

You'd think the narrative would've gotten old by now. They know exactly how Mayweather fights, will make a case for why he will lose due to that style of fighting..... then after tuning in, come back and pout about how "boring" the fight was after the contender takes an L. And to make matters worse - as if they don't already sound pitiful enough - will call said world class fighter overrated because he got dominated by Floyd. They'll take every option but the obvious: FLOYD IS JUST THAT GOOD.

But in defense of these folks I don't think they know what "boxing" is. They're looking for a street fight and think that's what boxing is about... and when they don't get that they cry foul. Poor souls... they hate that dude so much and it show's in how they go about making sense of what they've witnessed each time it occurs. It's like a little piece of them dies. Don't know why they keep tuning in :yeshrug:

It's 'boring' because the black man won.. This phenomenon has been going on for centuries..

Never let them fool you!

'When a white boxer is elusive, they'll say that he's a defensive genius.. But when a black boxer is elusive, he's a runner..'

I hope you young brothers realize that these racial double standards exist beyond sports.. You will be affected in, school, work and even in public.

Most times you wont even realize it's happening

So on point.....just like with the NFL this year.....for years, all these black QBs come outta college running like gazelles and the narrative is "you have to play from the pocket".....fast forward to the best black pure qb to come out in recent memory get clocked at 4.9 and all of a sudden speed and elusiveness is a high priority
