We visited Ralph Lauren's soon-to-close flagship Polo store and saw why the brand is struggling

Vado and Dza mustve been devastated when they shut down Rugby.
rugby was the single greatest movement birthed by 'Lo :ohlawd:
the rugby shirts were fire, the jackets were fire, the skull cross bones shyt was fire the preppy/athletic/collegiate flava was straight :noah:
its like the current eras version of that snow beach and teddy bear shyt the older heads used to fiend for
when that shyt died, we all died a little inside
and everyone in NY low key knows it was some :mjpls: shyt that caused them to shutter it
talking bout it strayed too far away from the direction of the brand as a whole :camby:

:patrice: lo been nice, but i moved on to a select RLX polo gear a minute ago...

great thing about RL is that it's real clothing and not really a trend like Bathing Ape, Rocawear, Akedemics from years ago...

you wear that today and you just look silly...but you can rock a 90s Polo rugby, button up or knit shirt and be gucci wit it.:win:

I still rock Polo.. not concerned with if anyone else wants to wear it or not

When you know how to coordinate, honestly the brand doesn't matter but my brand of choice is Polo

I mainly rock the denim and supply joints tho

I still see rich celebs rocking the white Polo crew necks when they're dressed down

Polo is a luxury brand. Their target audience aren't people that shop at shytty fast fashion like Zara and H&M so I don't know why the author expects them to lower their prices.
People are acting like H&M are super cheap. Yes they're cheaper than Polo but that shyt still ain't super cheap, plus it fades or shrinks fast. I do like how I can go into the back of my closet and grab a Polo that I bought years ago and wear it with no problem.

when juelz said:
"If it ain't the Gucci or the Louis then it's Polo or it's Rugby, & this bytch I brought
wit me, she be bagging bytches fa me" :wow:
or when he said
"If not, I stay Polo down to the socks
. Rings, chains and watch worth more than Fort Knox":wow:

& that time he showed up on 106&park so terrence J wore the most basic generic short sleeve rugby with the oversize rugby logo to show he was down too and juelz showed up in some next level exclusive shyt:russ:
theres always those nikkas that try mad hard and fail miserably and just look like suckers.:hhh:

That's not true, brehs have moved on to brands that cost just as much if not more. "NICCAS" as you call us shouldn't be wearing any of that overpriced sh1t anyway tbh.
This.

As Vince Staples so eloquently stated,

Hey, I'm just a nikka until I fill my pockets
And then I'm Mr. nikka, they follow me while shoppin'

I feel like Mickey Richards, they feel like Muddy Waters
So tell me what's the difference, so tell me what's the difference?
My momma was a Christian, Crip walkin' on blue-waters
Was fadin' up in Davis, then walkin' back to Palmer
A fro like Huey partner, Auntie Angie had them choppers
So tell me what's the difference, so tell me what's the difference?
I feel like "fukk Versace", they rapin' nikka's pockets
And we don't get acknowledged, just thank me for the profit

The amount of blasphemy in this thread. Scust.

Polo has timeless styles for grown azz nikkaz who want quality. I got Polo that I've had for years still going strong. Got sh1t from when I was a kid that's still ill. Problem with H&M and all these other discount brands is the fits are crap and ghe quality is sh1t. H&M, Zara, Express is not lasting 5 years. It's all disposable crap. If that's what millenials are looking for then fukk em. More for me. I'll be hitting up the outlet when I get a chance.

One thing I will agree on is pricing in this economy is high. It's either high end or low end. Folk aint paying money for mid tier sh1t. Which is why you'll see RL, Gap, etc struggling.

How's Hilfigger doing btw?
Zara been around since the 70s
I think H&M been around since the mid 80s

Trust me they gone be here for a min

I seriously don't get the hate for Ralph Lauren on here. It's literally the only brand anyone can rock safely.. from corporate America to the golf course to casual outings all the way to the traphouse in the slums

Judging the brand off 1 store reviewed in an article is absurd.

Ironically, there's more broke niccas and dudes with no fashion sense rockin True Religion and Gucci than Polo

I ain't sayin I wouldn't occasionally rock any of that other stuff, but I don't get the hate
