Solid card overall, Not ppv worthy tho.... Brutal Ko start, Lopez fight went on too long and fighting Fundora is like boxing a building that throws punches at you.
I picked Swift to win. I thought their styles complimented each other and that no matter what Spence did box/brawl Danny would be there to land. Plus Spence aint been looking good to me like that. Eyes almost in a trance, frail body, layoff, accident, . etc.. Spence had to overcome a lot of factors.....
and he did. I had it 116-112. I thought Swift won a couple early rds and snagged a few late rds, but overall Spence activity dictated the fight. He still gets tagged too much imo. Swift landed a lot of lead straights and really worked the body. He was competitive throughout, just outgunned, even though it seemed like he would land the single harder shots at times. Spence never really could bulldoze Swift, but he put more than enough hands on him. He definitely beat him worse than Porter and Thurman did, but he also got hit more doing so. Good fight imo. Both really went at it, but it lost a lil steam at times during the 2nd half.
Swift was already on the edge of being overwhelmed and never realized the dividends his body work paid until it was too late. If he only stood his ground a lil more in the mid rds and press Spence when Spence wanted to box more he would have prolly realized Spence was just as winded as he was. Instead he fell back a lil and let Spence get those rds before finally turning it back up.
Spence is hittable, but he be seeing them joints. Bud only chance is to catch him on the fly with some shyt he can't prepare for. Only Pac n Thurman can do that on the elite level. Bud can against the Horns tho. Porter can catch Spence like that with his looping shots, but he don't have Bud, Pac n Thurman power.
