Those strong black men and women exists, but the black community prefer to promote these young zombies with the complicity of the white media. I can give you thousands and thousands of black american who are doing good for themselves and contribute positively to the black community, but that wouldn't be enough because everywhere you look, you see more thugs and athletes in the media than these people. You can't find biggest sellout than this black entertainers, not only they are sellout, but they're destroying the black youths mind in the process. These people are telling in their music they don't care about black, they want to kill their peers, they like white girls, etc., but we give them a pass, i don't know why. But it's too late because hip hop become a important part of the black community, and these young are already too brainwashed in this culture. So in my opinion it's too late, you can only do something positively for yourself and if you can help others black to achieve their goal, just do it, but as a community there are too much ennemies and people who are willing to destroy our community for pennies living among us, and these people have more influence than the blacks who try to contribute positively, and they have the support of the white supremacist. If you're black and promoting black destruction instead of black excellence, you're gonna be more successful than a black who try to promote black excellence and leadership.

I don't see how they can live with themselves knowing that they influencing kids to fukk up they life. What we really need is like a cool black doctor or video game designer thats humble and relatable to show its waay more to being black in America than guns and basketball.
I gave up on my dream to be a graphic designer when I was younger because I looked up to rappers and dudes on the block.I never knew any positive black dudes so I felt that I was supposed to be ignorant because that's how the black men I knew and saw on TV were . I'm only 20 so I'm about to get in school n go for it but it just shows you that kids really get brainwashed by this shyt.

i know the coli is 70% non black so i understand why alot of you hate when i make "positive" threads like this about the black community. I saw your post in the other thread thats why i tagged you. Whats sad are these posters that continually say that hiphop culture isn't playing a role in our community. They are 100% wrong. They are making ignorance seem "cool". You are right. We need images of black doctors, astronauts, video game makers, painters, scientists, lawyers to become the norm. We need our youth to see that there's more to aspire to be than a dopeboy, rapper or athlete. Lots of our youth has LITERALLY never seen a black man or woman wearing a business suit in real life. I'm really not trying to be on no high horse shyt, but i listened to a lecture by dr Frances cress welsing a while ago. One thing that stuck is when She talked about how after the black power movement they used rap music to train us to call ourselves nikka, bytches, dogs, bow wows. How we see and refer to ourselves is a major impact how we act and the choices we make. You should check out her books the Isis papers or watch some of her lectures on YouTube . I'm glad you're so young and waking up Breh.
Malcolm X was a cool, intellectual strong Black man. He had been on drugs at one point too.
