I don't remember the second, but I clearly remember Marriaga doing very little in the first, and Loma landed the more thudding blows -- I even thought he stunned Marriaga briefly with a quick 2 punch combo.

He's definitely getting overhyped, that's Arum doing his job correctly. That being said, the man is no pushover for anyone in 130-135. P4P #1 is ridiculous though.

first round, neither did much, but marriaga landed the cleaner punches...just like in the second, he landed the cleaner punches....that's why i gave him the first 2 rounds....that pitty pat shyt loma does gets no credit from me....throwing a bunch of punches, and/or not connecting, just tapping the opponents gloves, gets no credit from me...and that's all loma did the first 2 rounds....

that's why i call him a money grab...arum getting him hyped to get a big pay day from him...if he loses, so what, they got that pay day...if he wins, they happy cause he'll get another pay day....same as jeff horn wanting to fight spence jr now after that bullshyt fight....another money grab....

I gave round 1 slightly to Loma and round 2 to Marriaga. Everything after that was assault.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
I stopped watching, in what way did he compare them, skills??

SAS asked Atlas if there was anyone who could give Loma any trouble -- and Atlas said Rigo. SAS then opined that Rigo reminds him of Walters, who got washed by Loma, so he doesn't think Rigo has a chance. He didn't go into detail, but I think he mentioned that they are stylistically similar, which is completely wrong.

Anyways, I think these Top Rank telecasts have had very clear agendas to them. First fight, they went over the top about the Pac robbery. This time around they were incessant with their Loma praise, and I think it's strange that a blacklisted fighter 2 divisions smaller than Loma would be specifically brought up during this telecast.

I don't have much problem with him being cocky, the patting on head stuff was done by Crawford a few months earlier and I thought it was funny

:pachaha:

with that said yeah there are double standards. Loma's doing something like this that's smart and witty, have someone like Mayweather doing it and it's despicable.
It is what it is...

to be fair though Crawford wasn't criticized because of it either.

Loma was a little less impressive than he usually is, idk why, but the result was pretty much the same.

Berchelt or Tank would be game against him imo even though Loma would be the obvious favorite

Mikey would beat him in 135

Rigo fight... Rigo is small but I'd still like to see it. Loma isn't really a physical fighter who rough you up and Rigo's reach is longer. If he has enough pop to keep Lomacheko honest, which is unpredictable and is a good question then I see him keeping the fight at his range and outboxing Lomachenko
