I'm saying: Before any of us were born, we had our own National Anthem. We had our own higher learning institutions and cuisine/genres, our own churches, etc. We even celebrated our own Independence Day last week. Those are all indicators or a unique cultural identity if you ask me, but you're saying they're not? It's ADOS/FBA? I'm missing what they provided better than that.
Yes we've existed in this country for centuries your going to get things like that. There has never been a concentrated push centering on ethnicity, not just BLACK this Black that, but a laser focused crystallized ethnic identity. Outside observers know this about us and move accordingly its not something im making up. They and most of us are used to open-ended blackness when it comes to our culture and history. As a people we dont even take things like that seriously and you know that, and THEY know that. C'mon breh :beli:

Breh, I'm trying to figure what ADOS/FBA offered in terms of cultural identity over what was already established. I get that you're saying it doesn't count/wasn't enough but how exactly are ADOS/FBA meeting the mark? Is it making us an acronym? Hairlines and Hip Hop? Movie roles?

:mjlol:Nobody said this, the distinction is there already.
nowhere is this pronounced not even in the "official" names we choose to call ourselves. It banks on people "knowing who we are supposed to be talking about" Stupid shyt like this is why our shyt gets co-opted.

People know "ADoS" and black american are the same. You are trying to make a distinction that is already been made.:therethere: and that's also okay. Let's do something useful now

its time to focus on another agenda.

Again Ados and FBA focus on lineage and ethnicity, a concept lost on most of us. I agree with the sentiment and how it could change the way we think and move. As i've said before the acronyms themselves have their shortcomings. Ados suffers the same pit falls as african-american

FBA sounds like a black owned life insurance company. They're not perfect but there getting people hip on something that was obviously missing

And people were supposed to act in good faith and "know" that african american was supposed to be reserved for us. We see how that turned out :beli:
