Just Win Baby
The only players to win meaningful championships in the the last decade are Kobe, Dirk, Tim Duncan, Kawhi and Curry(first title)

Durant and Lebron will always have an asterisk next to their names respectfully because they couldn’t do it without another superstar or two or three or four to win it.

:ehh: I concur

Jordan Bird and Magic won multiple championships with plenty of hall of famers between them. This is a stupid narrative. Any franchise or player that has had multiple years of success has had a few HoF players on their roster.

Lakers
Celtics
Bulls
Spurs
Pistons

Etc... Hakeem is the only player to me that won multiple times without elite help

Btw we forgetting KD was about to get busy and win his 3rd FMVP in a row before he blew his achilles. Was the best player on the court with his foot falling off, but Cacs talking about Curry better :mjlol:

Kd was about to win his 3rd finals mvp in a row despite missing the 1st four games of the finals? :dwillhuh:

The majority of those hall of famers are based off winning, not greatness. Lakers weren't winning any titles with Kareem before Magic.

Celtics outside of Bird none of them were ever considered top 5 players. I know Barkley used to refer to McHale as the best PF ever, but I don't believe that was a real narrative. Bill Walton on the Celtics was a shell of himself nowhere near elite. Parish and DJ were solid at best.

SPurs Tim Duncan and D. Rob were great. D. Rob was a choker though. TP had to be benched early on because of bad freebies and shyt. Manu is a HOFers based on Europe

Pistons of the 80's and 2000's have like one true great player in Isaih Thomas.

Meanwhile Dwyane Wade was legit considered one of the 3 best players in the league and LeBron James as well.

The end strength of those teams in relation to the rest of the league, is similar though. The Heat were trash outside of like 4 or 5 dudes and that brought the team down as a whole. Meanwhile the Lakers Bulls Celtics had multiple good to great guys to fill key spots and take pressure off the stars and were probably better teams overall. The Lakers and Celtics were frequently the only teams in each other’s class in the 80s and 90s until the Pistons and Bulls came. There were several 3 star teams the year the Heat formed. Celtics, Clippers, Thunder, Spur etc. The Heat had the worst supporting cast of all of those outside of maybe the Thunder.

There’s multiple ways of building teams and spreading your salary cap. The Heat way isnt really tipping the scales like that. It just means that the star players have to all be great or they lose as you see with the Nets. What KD and GSW did is different though. That was once in a lifetime type shyt with the way their contracts lined up.

The Coli don’t want to see OP’s point no matter how valid it is.

KD was part of the problem in OKC but Russy was always the fall guy.

He has a pretty game and scores efficiently which makes it easy for people to fall in love with his game and ignore his HUGE flaws.

nikka said huge flaws in caps :mjlol:

Why is this thread still open :russ:

You sound stupid than a mf :dead::dead::dead:

A 6'3 nikka embarrassed and whooped a 6'11 nikka and made him run to his team in order to win.

Nothin you dumb nikkas say is gon change that.
You stupid ass nikkas and this take :mjlol:
Draymond was begging this nikka to come after getting bodied by the Cavs and their boogeyman and now it’s KD running to them?

In your opinion what did you want KD to prove?

IMO what separates Durant from GOAT or Best in the League conversations is, he's not a floor raiser. Ive yet to see him be the sole point of success for a team and will them to a meaningful win.

Hes had the chance to prove that, twice, and in both instances he chose to be the nuclear option instead of carrying the troops. Which isnt a bad decision per se, but he cant be able to go to extremely cushy situations in GS and BKN and still be lauded like hes pulling some all world feat. He's going to situations where any top 15 scorer in the League would thrive.

GSW gave him arguably the most embarrassing loss of his career just a month before "draymond begged him". He absolutely ran to them.
