KD and Curry played on same team in back to back finals against Bron yet KD was the 2 time FMVP. Any thoughts on this?
That's already been explained. Bro, the fukking coach for Cleveland literally said the goal was to take the ball out of Steph's hands. Rewatch analysis vids on YouTube. Many plays they'd let Durant have single coverage (or even wide open) to focus on Curry. Of course KD was gonna stuff the stat sheet when he wasn't drawing most of the defensive attention.

And despite that, Curry's numbers where still on par with his.

This was a hot take thread, but it doesn't change the fact the Nets are still only a .500 team when Kevin and Kyrie are out there together...

They finally got a good win against a good team, but were down most of the way. This Denver team is good, but thats it, they're only good. They finna be outta here in Rd1, if you been watching them you know they are not a heavyweight...

Durant played well tonight and even though the thread was reactionary, the premise is right because everything OP said about Durant applies to more than one measly game...
Bruh...Kevin Durant literally won an MVP as the guy. How the hell does one streak invalidate an entire career? You guys are nutty.

1. He's in the top 15-20 range for me. I'm not sure on a set list but he's just ahead of a guy like KG at this point and I have Steph ranked over him.

2. TO rate might be similar but he is a worse passer than Kobe, Steph, Bird. He's been pretty TO prone this season and for his career his assist to TO ratio is about 4:3 which is kinda mediocre.

3. Yeah, every player has 10 of 30 nights and nights with TO's but for KD they came at some pivotal moments of his career. I'm holding him to the standard of a Jordan or LeBron where they generally had their best performance in closeout and elimination games. KD is a super efficient scorer I was talking about certain playoff games.

How do you make this argument and then put Steph Curry ahead of him who was awful an entire finals versus Cleveland which was the biggest stage and then was party to a 3-1 come back the exact same playoffs in a series his team was supposed to win unlike KD’s team. Let alone having the game winning shot scored on him and then making a bone headed decision right after. The biggest games are the finals and Durant has always showed up. You guys keep pointing out that one game 6 because there isn’t much of a sample size outside of that. It’s a dishonest and perception based argument. If you’re holding Durant to the Jordan and LeBron tier then there’s no credible basis for putting Curry ahead of him.

So the Cavs ran that brilliant strategy in 2 straight finals against GSW and only went 1-8. This supposed to prove that Curry is somehow better than KD?

So according to you nikkas KD beatin LeBron in the Finals equals KD>Lebron but Steph beatin KD in the WCF doesn't equal Steph>KD.

The way you nikkas purposely choose to not make any sense is fukkin hilarious.

Bruh what are you talking about? Nothing I've said about KD is minimized to this one streak. There's a pattern on fam that has played throughout his career...

I didn't say anything about invalidating his career, and I also said I dont need to re-evaluate him. I know who he is...

Bro you’re an idiot. I told you that before but it’s worth repeating so that all the 14 year olds reading this don’t believe that this is how reading comprehension works. Let me talk slowly. Son said big games define you. I said that Durant has more of those games in big spots than Curry does so how does he rate him higher? No one said anything about that series not effecting KD’s legacy. I said by his same metric there is no basis to rate Steph like that. Steph Curry didn’t even lead that come back on the Thunder, Klay Thompson sparked that game 6 come back. Steph wasn’t doing shyt before that. But putting all that aside, why the fukk are you nikkas acting like Kevin Durant doesn’t have an extensive playoff body of work? Kevin Durant’s run to the finals in 2012 is a greater run than any Steph Curry run to the finals. He was beating injured or undermanned teams. Like, what the fukk are we talking about? Better yet, why are you on his dikk so much that literally no one knew who you were until you decided to be a resident KD hater?
