I really feel like people are pushing their luck staying here. Its always easier to ignore logic when everything is ok now, but its almost certain unless some serious global rearrangement (war) happens, america is gonna turn into a shythole. Ive been thinkin about dipping from here since i was like 14, but i never really took it seriously because its just a lot of work, and because there might just not be anywhere good to live anymore. But it looks like I was wrong

The following is a very good argument for Americas looming fall

That which mathematically cannot continue will not continue. Western countries, led by the United States and Europe, are in deep economic trouble. Massive debt levels are strangling their economies, and once great nations like Greece and Spain have been reduced to third-world status with staggering unemployment levels and almost daily violent riots.

Those that say it can't happen in the US are dead wrong. The value of the dollar has been slowly eroded over a century, but now that decline has accelerated and is destroying the savings of hard-working honest Americans. This erosion in dollar value is also threatening the reign of the dollar as the world reserve currency.

The ramifications if it is dropped as the reserve currency should not be underestimated, especially by Americans. At this stage of the game, the dollar only has value because of its supply and demand. A tsunami of supply has been flooding the banks since the 2008 financial crisis, while the global demand is dwindling as nations like the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India & China) have begun internal trading without dollars.

Meanwhile, Western nations (NATO) are entangled in endless wars that have nothing to do with protecting their nations. The so-called war on terrorism has led to spending huge sums of tax dollars building Big Brother control grids within these countries. In turn, any sense of civil liberties or individual freedom citizens had at one time is being snuffed out for perceived security.

5 Best Countries to Escape America's Decline. In just that short time, the national average gas price has gone up from $2.86/gallon to $3.72/gallon, a 30% increase. Whose savings or wages went up by that amount?

Besides the threat from inflation, for the past two years Western governments have been operating on a "crisis management" approach, applying band-aids to a festering disease and they're running out of band-aids.

In other words, it's obvious that the United States and the West more generally are headed in the wrong direction for anyone who cares about peace, liberty, and economic stability.

Some say it's cowardly or unpatriotic to abandon a sinking ship and escape to a better setting. Some say it's important to stay and fight the corrupt system. Yet it can't be denied that collapse is coming whether it happens in slow motion or abrupt upheaval. The ship is sinking and the corrupt system will collapse with or without you as a passenger. No amount of fighting can stop its inertia.

Luckily, there are some nations that still value these principles and moving to them is not nearly as difficult as you may think. It starts with making a simple decision to live by your principles and find a pleasant and accepting environment to spend your limited time on this planet. Do you want to be stuck in negativity while the system collapses around you? Or do you want to be surrounded by joy, peace, and freedom?

Some changes have been made to our previous list of desirable locations. The criteria for determining the best safe haven countries has remained: social stability, economic freedom and opportunity, freedom of self-expression, relative self-sufficiency, reasonable cost of living, ease of visas and residency, and insulation to Western collapse.

Here is our updated list of the 5 best countries to move to before the West collapses:

Source: http://www.activistpost.com/2013/03/5-best-countries-to-move-before.html

If you read the rest of the referenced article, you will see they listed the 5 best countries to move from america to. This is excluding some of the well known alternatives in europe. I used to want to move to argentina, but when i learned of the history of racism, mixed with the poor economy and government stability, clearly i had to pick an alternative. Now im liking uruguay, alot. I remember i did a project on it a few years ago, and basically learned its fukking awesome.

Moving to or living in any NATO country seems counterproductive imo. Theyre all likely to take major hits over the next years/decades. We already see the rise of countries like india and china, but due to things like culture, government, and overpopulation those arent the best choices. Personally, id suggest moving to a country that is on the rise, but is also progressive and has a strong environmental aspect. I see countries that fit that description as being the most stable countries in the next coming decades. And another major benefit to living in places like that, is theyre liable to avoid any wars or tyranny that might/already is infecting the major countries.

Last little note, think about whats happening in america right now. Corruption is being revealed to the public, and is getting even worse. The government is entirely disabled. Our rights are being questioned and diminished. We are continuing to reinforce our reputation for being international bullies/idiots, and it seems we are liable to join some type of war soon. We have an inability to adapt to the times, culturally and economically or basically in every way. And most importantly/obviously, we're in a ridiculous amount of debt, as the article said its mathematically and logically guaranteed that our economy is going to explode.

The question now is, whose hiring in uruguay:bryan:? Anyone know some nice neighborhoods there :bryan:. Hope i can stream nfl and nba games down there:russ:

Go to Detroit and do the samething. The logic "well I'm not suffring and the people around me look ok so everything is on the up and up" is :sadcam:
"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
it's about classism now not racism but the logic is still the same.
You're to busy looking at the material items people are buying on credit to see America as a whole is going under. All they have to do to take your mind off it is to open up another line of credit to make you feel you're above it all. :sadcam::sadcam::sadcam:

If you throw in a extra $250 you get running water and electricity 5 out of 7 days
I don't think expatriats/retirees leave America to live in overpopulated cities abroad. If anything, they move to the rural/small towns where they buy a plot of land to build their house, and live off agriculture and cattle, pork, chicken, fishing, whatever.

Seems even more ideal now with the wide spread use of solar panels, water filters, cell phone antennas that you can put on the roof of your house, 4g usb modems that you can attach to your laptop, etc.

If you retired to another country, that would be the way to go, I think. If you move to a big city, you couldn't live off the land, so it would be the same thing as staying where you were before you tired or expatriated.

America won't "fall" in your lifetime. If it was going to happen it would have happened 40 years ago.
There are 45 million Americans living in poverty, and God knows how many living off credit or paycheck to paycheck. I don't see that number shrinking if things keep going the way they're going. Add that to the fact that resources are finite. The Ogallala Aquifer, for example, is expected to dry out by 2060. I wouldn't be surprised if our country breaks out in a civil war for resources or if we experience another dust bowl when the Ogallala aquifer dries out. There's 300 million people in America, not many of us grow our own food or have access to natural water sources. What's it going to be like when those resources run out? You can print money, but you can't print water or food.

I'm working on a long term escape plan. The racism and overall hostility in this country is unbearable.
