You're kinda right but its nothin wrong with entertainment its an element to revolution. I think entertainers should just be more thoughtful people instead of buying into the idea that its cool to be ignorant. But we definitely need to diversify the industries that our community dominates in.

black people need to officially boycott the professional sports slave industry. that means not just ending our viewing of these sporting events. it means black men need to stop playing them. let whites have basketball. football. see how well that works out for them.

ppl and esp. niccas love money. it's not happening. poor ppl need to survive.

for white jewish folks it is a good position to be in a position to print something as worthless and paper and have ppl do anything for it. even if it is destroying themselves.

during 50's rise i found it fascinating how rappers would want to kill or be shot just to be signed at a record label.

rap/hiphop's credibility today is all about selling poison/crack your community to get signed. that sh1t just blows my mind.

What part of mainstream rap in 2014 has any element of revolution?

Much of rap these days is about conformity and complacency

You missed my point, it's an element of revolution if the entertainers are thinkers and bout that kinda shyt. You're absolutely right, the rap game right now for the most part is highly conformist. But this is why I always get into arguments with some cats on here because they missed the whole point of so called "Gangsta Rap" or the more aggressive stuff of the late 80s to mid-90s because it was during this time that Rap music had that potential but the whole whom own and control the culture saw its earning potential as well as its potential to get people socially involved following the destruction of the drug wars so it was instead manipulated to continue perpetuating negative elements to keep those wars up.

Even now I think it could happen, the situation is ripe for a shift back into realer shyt. It'll take a special set of artists for that paradigm shift in the genre tho. But yeah, entertainment is an important element of culture and revolution.

the secret to success in this regard is not subtraction but addition
I have my issues with rap too
but imo the real solution is to create and have more visibility in other aspect not simply removal of one
