I don't wanna see it, because Preme's beats are kinda average now. But if it happens, I hope they get 1 beat from Pete Rock

i don't know about primo's beats lately. i get the impression that he just takes random loop or sounds, makes some big chops, dumps them on the pads and makes a random pattern that sounds half way melodic, then just uses some of the drums he's used to using and the bass.
throw in a scratched hooked and that's it. it's almost like he's using a formula when making beats nowadays. and if you notice he often gets periods where he'll sample certain types of sounds. early 90s was a lot of pianos. late 90s was a lot of strings samples (violins, etc) then he went to guitars and so on. now a days it's a lot of darker sounds which don't really do anything for me...
