What matches has he had in the past six months are top five male or female in the company? He was this technician best in the world blah blah yet has he had better matches then Seth? Aj? Asuka? Charlotte? Gargano?
When Bryan is involved in something as great as King of Madness NWO Savage he can live up to that comparison.
I brag about Bryan being in the main event because clearly, your heroes Cripple H and Vince, place him above the AJ Styles title reign. They ran to him to carry that Greatest Royal Rumble over everyone in the company...why? Because he's the biggest star on the roster. We know he's gonna be very over on Sunday..you cant say that about Seth, Ambrose now that are Roman's sidekicks..Braun is getting mixed reactions now...Ronda is still pretty over since her matches are short..Becky Lynch is the only one consistently as over as Bryan.
So yeah he's the main event and who your heroes run to for consistency. Vi ce is high on Almas after he saw the performances against AJ and Bryan. Very high supposely..even a rumored Rumble winner candiate right now behind Rocky and Bryan.
So your 180 gimmick is already tapered with holes because those you put the most faith in trusted Bryan in money spots.
Bryan, the heel, was getting cheered over their boyfriend the Rebel in Punk's prime 6 years ago. Pipe Bomb. Macho Man didnt have those issues and was effective to the very end and Bryan is doing mixed match feuds and is more over than the entire Raw roster.

Bryan isn’t popping ratings or leading to buy rates or subscriptions. His advertised retirement lost ratings. His advertise return drew some ratings but where did they go? They haven’t been higher than 2.55 since and he has been main eventing the worst drawing rating shows of the past ten or so years but y’all dont want to discuss that right? That’s cool

Daniel Bryan is a tremendous talent but not the transcendent talent many claimed him to be. He can no more overcome horrible booking than Asuka, Reigns, Bosshug Outlaws, Juicy Jinder, Rusev Day etc etc. The stench of poor booking and creative is all over him and he is in a somewhat decent program. Just imagine when they have to put him in feuds that don't have five plus years of build behind them.
