It's the NFL. Every year somebody is a lot better than everybody thought. And if:
-all our Pro Bowlers(Matthews, Lindstrom, Pitts, Terrell, Jarrett) play to their expected levels
-Mariota gives us 12th to 16th-ranked QB play(basically between Jimmy G and Jalen Hurts level)
-our offense plays better than the sum of its parts due to scheme(not having any mobility @ QB had us playing with half a playbook last year and killed the run game)
-our defense is fully implemented and makes up for mid talent by being opportunistic in forcing turnovers and making timely stops
-there's positive contributions from our last 2 draft classes, including breakout stars on both sides of the ball(London/AK, Allgeier/Graham, Dalman/Malone, etc.... we have enough lottery tickets for a few of them to hit)
-and we take advantage of a 2002 NBA Eastern Conference ass NFC(there's only 3 legit teams with LA, GB, and TB)
....then it could be us
stranger things have happened than a roster of this talent level playing to its 95th percentile outcome
