I had to unmute three different people to see the other 30% of the posts in this thread - I didn't say I was caping - just wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

It's easy to tell when I argue in favor of something - as opposed to from a neutral position.

I'm a physician assistant that makes great money. Great career decision if you want the higher pay without the responsibilities of a real doctor. Takes approximately 2 years of training after college. Excellent career opportunities.

Medicine is also an excellent choice as well. There is currently a HUGE push to enroll minorities in med school due to the dearth of black physicians. Out here, and the pay is HUGE. I make approximatly 240K/yr, but i could easily double that as a doc. However, they school anywhere between 7-12 years after college, depending on the profession. However, the community needs them, so don't let the time option scare you. If you complete it, the benefits are wonderful!. The respect you get. The options in life open up.

For the best career for someone that is not sure what they want to do, but wants the best bang for the buck strongly consider nursing. Nursing is anywhere from 1-2 years after college. however, you can also earn a BSN which is a college degree/RN. You can get this in a 2-3 year program at MANY SCHOOLS, even online. The BSN is ideal because if you attain it, you have a PLETHORA of options afterwards. Getting a Phd, jobs in management, consulting, or even a Nursing Practioner are all possibilities. You'll have a great set of survial skills and can make money anywhere in the world. Truly a degree with many different paths to make money in.

Healthcare in general is a good career, provided you like working with people and don't mind the site of disgusting things like blood and guts. You're young so you have time. But once you identify what you want to do, start immersing yourself in the environment where these people work so you can see it in real life. Consider volunteering at your local hospital.

He checks your vitals and weight before the doctor gets to you. This is the type of dude to give out all types of advice that he never puts into practice himself.
