I'm not trying to rewrite history. That album was wack when it came out. But there's no denying that it aged pretty good. You see albums all the time that age horribly. The opposite can happen also.

I don't think it's classic, but it's a much better album that what people give it credit for. I even liked the 112 joint. It still sounded like a Mobb joint, just with 112 vocals. I think of it as a remix to the 112 joint that sampled Mobb Deep's "Quiet Storm". Overall, I think Prodigy sounding uninspired is why a lot of people wrote the album off.
Worse than Amerikaz Nightmare? (which had a few dope joints)
Worse than Blood Money?

Huge Mobb Fan. I literally own all of thier albums including noyd and infamous mobb albums. They are my Favorite Group besides Wu. And although I loved this album, I can't put it on classic status with the three albums before it because it has 2 of the absolute worst Mobb Deep Songs in their entire catalog. Burn and Hey Luv....Both songs would have been good for many other artists, but they sounded wack coming from Mobb Deep because they didn't fit their style or the rest of the album.
EDIT: Handcuffs was terrible as well.
That would be Murda Musik..really tho..on the low...Blood Money was better than their last 2 albums before it..and I hated on it when it first dropped cause of the whole signing to G Unit fiasco..
Blood Money is downright terrible...its the only Mobb album I don't bump when I go through the discography....Put Em In their Place is amazing, but thats the onle lonely gem in rough, shytty patch of dirt
Exactly my sentiments..at first I hated on the shyt and didn't give it a proper chance cause of the G Unit shyt and Prodigy was spittin mad lazy..but I can positively say that album had some nice joints on it...and I believe it was better overall than their last 2 before that..Loved this album. Crawling is my shyt.
Blood money isn't terrible. shyt was actually a dope album. Prodigy was spitting some of the laziest shyt though.
As a g-unit stan() I was to that album. (pearly gates)Make it to heaven with Curry was dope as shyt.Exactly my sentiments..at first I hated on the shyt and didn't give it a proper chance cause of the G Unit shyt and Prodigy was spittin mad lazy..but I can positively say that album had some nice joints on it...and I believe it was better overall than their last 2 before that..
I will be honest, this album was so bad to me that I didn't even bother to purchase Amerikaz Nightmare. although Shorty Wop was the first signs of P spitting again....Blood money had about 5-6 songs I fukked with. I only remember liking Pray For Me, the joint with Ron Isley, and Getaway off Infamy. I hated Hey Luv, as a mobb fan that shyt was a total 180. Burn had a dope beat, but P's verse was so awful I didn't even want to hear the song anymore. I will have to go back and give it another listen though, I was such a huge Prodigy fan back then, his fall off at that time was a sad time for me and I think I've tried to block those years out (2001-2003)

There were a few cuts on "Blood Money" that I fukked with, but overall I wasn't feelin that album
